Ukraine and Marsh are in discussions regarding air transport war risk insurance.
Central Transport: Ukraine Risk Insurance 2024 Now
Reuters) – The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine said on Friday that the country is in talks with insurance broker Marsh and consulting firm Oliver Wyman regarding military risk insurance for air travel.
The cessation of air traffic over Ukraine followed Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022. However, Kyiv considers the reopening of Boryspil International
Airport, which is located outside of the capital, as a win for the country’s economy and wants to do so as soon as circumstances allow.
According to a statement on the defense council’s website, discussions were held regarding “further steps of cooperation on military risk insurance in air transportation and business travel to Ukraine, as well as large-scale investment insurance in the reconstruction.”

A Boeing 777-300 took off from Boryspil airport in December on a technical flight, indicating that safety can be guaranteed despite ongoing Russian air strikes and that Ukraine’s infrastructure is still in operational order.
