Recently, Insides investigated that matter by speaking with insurance representatives, body shop technicians, and even Delawarean enthusiasts. While their responses weren’t entirely pessimistic, it’s obvious that, if the Cyber truck is anything like the Delawarean, repairs won’t be simple or quick.

Billy Walkout, CEO of Collision Safety Consultants, said, “So a lot of customers hire me to fight insurance companies because insurance companies do not want to pay what Tesla requires you to do to return a vehicle to per-loss condition.”

Part of the purpose of the company is to act as an adjudicator and advocate for insurance claimants who might not feel like the insurance company is fairly compensating them. He said, “I probably do 10 to 15 Tesla a week.”
