After her insurance company refused to pay for her car, which was stolen from her driveway and used in a risky police pursuit that was caught on camera, a Sault woman is searching for a Christmas miracle.

Bryana Leonard claimed on her own GoFundMe page that her car was a part of a perilous takedown operation that resulted in four Sault Police officers receiving minor injuries.

Leonard claimed that on December 19, she was getting the car ready for her young son by warming it up in her driveway. The vehicle was driven through a crowded parking lot, through a red light, and into a cruiser after being stolen. prior to being stopped on Brien Avenue by law enforcement.

On a local Facebook forum, a dramatic video of the police chase was shared. It showed the stolen car driving across a lawn near a house before police cruisers surrounded it.
