The Insurance Authority issues a website fraud alert.
The public has been alerted by the Insurance Authority (IA) of Hong Kong about a fraudulent website that impersonates an insurance broker.
The IA claims that a website with the domain name “https://arvudainsurances.com/” was impersonating Arvuda Insurance Services Limited, a Hong Kong-licensed insurance broker business, and claiming to be its official website.
The insurance broker attested to the fact that the fraudulent website was unrelated to it and that it lacked an official website on which to conduct business.

The Hong Kong Police Force had already been notified of the case, and an investigation is still underway. According to the IA, people who might have used the fraudulent website to transact insurance or provide their personal information there
ought to inform Arvuda and report the incident to law enforcement.
