Tall Win Life: New CEO Named By Sun Life Singapore In 2023.
With effect from January 1, Sun Life Singapore has announced the appointment of Christopher Albrecht as its new CEO.
Upon arriving in Singapore, Albrecht will assume responsibility for overseeing the strategic and operational facets of Sun Life Singapore.
His responsibilities will centre on developing top talent, diversifying the company’s revenue stream, and promoting sustainable growth.
Albrecht brings over 25 years of experience to the position, making him a seasoned professional in the insurance sector.

He has worked for a number of companies, such as Swiss Life, Old Mutual International, HSBC Insurance (Singapore), and 1291 Group (Hong Kong), in senior positions.
His broad experience in high-net-worth (HNW) banking, insurance, and brokerage provides a comprehensive understanding of the market.
Originally from the United .Kingdom, Albrecht expanded his knowledge of the Asian insurance market by relocating to Singapore in 2005 and Hong Kong in 2017.
With significant momentum in 2023, Sun Life Singapore views this appointment as a critical strategic move. This includes praise for their ground-breaking Sun Brilliance Indexed Universal Life solution, which has won numerous awards from the sector.
In addition, the business has reached a noteworthy milestone: since April 2021, it has collected over S$500 million in premiums. Looking ahead, it plans to continue on its current growth trajectory.
Karin Gilani, Sun Life Financial’s president of Greater China, Singapore, and international high net worth, will be Albrecht’s supervisor.
